Summary[edit]
Description-20Millon Memorial – Remembering Those Who Have Died From Tobacco.webm |
English: In 1964, the U.S. Surgeon General released the first report on smoking and health. Since then, more than 20 million people have died in the U.S. due to smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke. To illustrate the human toll of smoking, CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) will be launching an online memorial using the hashtag #20million. This memorial honors those people—family and friends—who have lost their lives due to a smoking-related illness.
