About meI'm Alaa (In Arabic: علاء) a general practitioner, passionate Wikipedian, writer and translator. I'm a native Arabic and near native English speaker. I am a member of Wikimedians of the Levant since May 2015, member of Wikimedia Stewards User Group since September 2019. I was an advisor for the Arab Wikimedians Committee in 2020. In addition to this, I am one of the members of Arabic Wikipedia's social networking team. That's the team that manages the official accounts of Arabic Wikipedia on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Most of my work on Wikipedia is in medicine, anatomy and biology, but I also contribute in various fields (More details on my user page in Arabic Wikipedia).

My workI created my account in October 2010, and I have been active (on a regular basis) since December 2014. I am currently a Steward, a Bureaucrat, Sysop, Checkuser and Interface-admin on Arabic Wikipedia, Sysop and Checkuser on Wikidata, Sysop on Commons, Sysop on Meta, Sysop on Arabic Wikibooks, Sysop on Arabic Wikinews and Sysop on Arabic Wikisource. I also serve as a VRT member. I also run my bot, AlaaBot, on several wikis to do various maintenance tasks. In addition to this, I frequently spend time on various IRC channels, including #cvn-ar-scan, #wikimedia-rename, #wikimedia-stewards and #wikipedia-ar.
