People of the United Kingdom by year[edit]
Just an FYI but you need to create them like this to get to sort in Europe under "United Kingdom, the" rather than "the United Kingdom." Ricky81682 (talk) 21:32, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

Lipstick[edit]
Applying lipstick is a much more specific act than simply wearing lipstick. Perhaps you wish to discuss how best to designate this at Category talk:Lipstick in application. Thanks for your attention. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 03:08, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
Top ordering[edit]
Hi Trade, I hope you don't mind my changes in this temple, I did it because I personally believe top is visually better than before (100%-wide international & national first, 80%-wide metacat second, plus spacing between "see also" is removed). For example, compare Women of Russia by century (now) and Young women of Germany by year (before). But that's just my personal opinion, and since I tend to keep both technical and visual unification, please tell me do you agree that we make such changes in other related templates? --Orijentolog (talk) 05:37, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
Previously kept at DR[edit]
Please note that File:Ndifreke.jpg and File:Ndifreke Ukpong pix.jpg have been previously kept at DR, and therefore are ineligible for speedy deletion as deleting them would be controversial by definition. You may renominate them for DR if you have fresh arguments to add. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 03:07, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure those two photos were taken from another website. Trade (talk) 16:56, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
[edit]
AI-generation related deletion requests/pending has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Identified[edit]
I feel it strange, and misleading, if not inappropriate, for you to move files from Category "Cosplay of films" to "Unidentified cosplay of films" when the films are very specifically identified. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 19:36, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dumping everything into "Cosplay of films" is inappropriate as it only makes it harder for others to fid what they need.
- None of the pictures were in the rightful places within the appropriate category structure. Hence they were moved. If you look at Category:Unidentified cosplay of Star Trek, that is specifically what the template asks people to do before moving them out --Trade (talk) 20:12, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
I'm not sure that cosplay is the correct term for what was an official part of the uniform for a paramilitary force.Geni (talk) 03:22, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Why is an official part of the uniform for a paramilitary force in a Star Wars subcategory? @Geni: — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Trade (talk • contribs)
- Presumably helmet shape was the inspiration for that of Darth Vader's. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:38, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Why removing these cats[edit]
Hi, First I wish you an happy new year 2023.
Why do you remove these two categories [1], two times, without explaining why?
Thank you for answer. --Benoît (d) 07:24, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks, you too.
- Category:Benoît Prieur in 2023 is a subcategory of Category:Wikimedians of France in 2023. The category does not contain any pictures of Wikimedians of France in 2023 (you), only pictures and videos taken by you which makes the use of the categories misleading. Does that make sense? @Benoît Prieur: --Trade (talk) 14:16, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Wrong SDRs[edit]
Hi, Do not create speedy deletion requests with a wrong rationale. Thanks, Yann (talk) 17:19, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

Brassieres in Stable Diffusion-generated secretary images[edit]
You added these images to the categories Brassieres in art and Women wearing black brassieres, but I don’t see any brassieres. (They were also over-categorised into Women wearing glasses in art and Women wearing glasses; I have removed the latter category.) Brianjd (talk) 07:56, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

Genre[edit]
Sorry, but IMO all genre items have the same level. See Revision of 725934859. It is not necessary to have black-and-white preferred. Thank you. --XRay 💬 19:23, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorta unsure why genres can even be marked as prominent now that i think about it Trade (talk) 19:24, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Does File:" Winter" on the Frydd (1294994).jpg look correct to you? @XRay: --Trade (talk) 21:38, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- It's nice of you to ask. In my opinion, color (P462) does not belong in the list of structured data. The image is not black and white, it is taken in grayscale. (Even though the genre is called black-and-white photography.) "Winter" is a season that you can't see in the picture, but you can see snow. It's not in the depict statements, though. You can't actually see the meadow either. I honestly don't know what "Frydd" means, but you can't conclude that from the categories either. In the statements, the negative film with the glass plate would still be worth mentioning. The statements do not reflect the time, the photographer of the featured photo, or the originator of the scan or print. The source is also missing. There are quite a few discussions about the statements and new ones are added all the time. Others are virtually on a taboo list. As a side note, I do not set my SDC statements manually. My bot does that, but only for my images. I pull information from the filename, categories, descriptions, Q-items (Wikidata), parent category categories, and manually and automatically created configuration files. So all my images always have something from it and not the few that could be maintained manually. I use the automatism since I uploaded about more than 100 images. --XRay 💬 06:17, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
I noticed that the statements location and country can be set to unknown. Is this something that should be avoided? @XRay: --Trade (talk) 02:01, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
